Federation for European Education in Gemmology

Federation for European Education in Gemmology

The Federation for European Education in Gemmology (FEEG) was set-up in 1995 to create a pan-European gemmology qualification that would be recognized by all bodies and institutions across Europe.

Every year the graduates of these institutes can participate, in their own language, in a test on their theoretical and working gemmological knowledge to achieve this European certification. Currently FEEG is conducted in ten distinct centers across Europe including, France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Belgium and Italy and can currently be taken in 5 different languages.

ABOUT

The Austrian Gemmological Association (Ö.GEM.G.) was founded in 1991 as the successor of the First Austrian Gemmological Association. The non-profit organization is serving in the gemmological field and has a very close cooperation with the state Gemmological Institute of the Museum of Natural History. The Ö.GEM.G. is the only Austrian registered CIBJO Institute, authorized by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, and is thus also under the control of an international umbrella organization of the gem and jewellery industry.
